“Polly’s got a shotgun and she’s coming for you!”

We’ll Never Be Apart

Working with producer Michael Smith whose former clients included Wolf Alice, the bands single “We’ll Never Be Apart” was picked up and used by ITV’s “This Morning”.

Band Bio

The Slow Cooked Bears are a London-based alt-rock trio, fusing gritty, guitar-driven energy with introspective lyricism. Their sound blends alternative rock with post-grunge edge and shoegaze textures, drawing on the spirit of Radiohead, Pixies, and The Smashing Pumpkins.

Formed in the capital, the band first emerged during turbulent times, releasing their debut single “Space Odyssey” amid the COVID-19 lockdowns. That early collision of chaos and creativity shaped their core identity: honest, resilient, and unafraid to confront uncomfortable truths.

Since then, they’ve built a growing catalogue of self-released tracks, including “Polly,” “The Grand Scheme,” and “We’ll Never Be Apart” — the latter gaining national exposure on ITV’s This Morning.

Their live shows are volatile and emotionally raw — whether in packed rooms or intimate spaces, they hit hard and erupt without warning.

With the recent addition of bassist Mick Gough, the band is entering a new chapter — refining their sound with deeper grooves, more atmospheric textures, and a sharpened creative vision.

Despite operating completely independently — without major label backing or industry co-signs — The Slow Cooked Bears continue to prove that persistence, vision, and emotional honesty still cut through.

This is music made to simmer, not flash. Slow-cooked — not rushed.
